Twitter Feed

Hello! I have attached a link to my Twitter feed where you can follow along with my Tweets for my education course. I also wanted to share how I think Twitter could be used in my future as a teacher. Twitter is a good resource for me to have as a teacher because I can find a variety of content from people all over the world. I can learn ideas from professors, administration, researchers, and retired or current teachers, all with the click of a button. Besides finding ideas for lessons, activities, and teaching techniques, I can also use Twitter to share what is happening in my classroom. This can be as simple as sharing my username with parents of the students to keep up with activities we do at school, or creating my own Twitter blog where I post my experiences, ideas, and content. Either way, using Twitter as a teacher is a simple way to learn and share all to do with teaching, with others.

Blog #4- Teaching with Technology

  Lesson                  Canva Above I have attached a link to my lesson plan and a link to the website we used in our lesson. While teaching this lesson in class, I experienced some challenges. The first challenge was teaching this to only one student as the others students hadn't arrived yet. This meant that the group discussion portion of the lesson didn't go as planned. Instead, Emily and I shared some of our traditions and participated in the discussion. We also had some troubles with the Smart Board as the video wouldn't go full screen and Canva didn't want to work. However, we instead used our computer to show the students Canva and also created our own Canva collages like the one I created above (Los Tres Reyes Magos). Integrating ICT and Math

The Great Place Value Challenge Lesson Plan Above I have attached a link to my lesson plan that integrates Mathematics with ICT using a website called Scratch. This lesson is something that I can use in the classroom I am currently placed in. The children have been learning about place value and I think that they would really enjoy this game as another way to practice their learning. They really enjoying playing math board games but I haven't seen them play anything on a computer yet so this would be a fun way for them to try because it is low stakes. With this lesson, I could also move forward by teaching students how to use Scratch to create their own math games. This would be a fun way to integrate the computer science outcomes with math and ICT because students would learn more computer and coding skills, while being able to create a math game about any of the topics they've learned so far.
