Blog #4- Teaching with Technology
Above I have attached a link to my lesson plan and a link to the website we used in our lesson. While teaching this lesson in class, I experienced some challenges. The first challenge was teaching this to only one student as the others students hadn't arrived yet. This meant that the group discussion portion of the lesson didn't go as planned. Instead, Emily and I shared some of our traditions and participated in the discussion. We also had some troubles with the Smart Board as the video wouldn't go full screen and Canva didn't want to work. However, we instead used our computer to show the students Canva and also created our own Canva collages like the one I created above (Los Tres Reyes Magos).
It was helpful to be able to practice my lesson because I learnt about what I can do when technology isn't working. I also thought more about how cool it is that I get to learn about students traditions and how this would be a great activity to do at the beginning of school because I would get to learn about my students. I also got to learn about how to help students with Canva and explore new ways to use it.
Two stars
ReplyDelete-I really loved the image you used to represent our use of Canva!
-I liked that you explained our challenges well and provided examples of how we worked through them

-I wish that you would be your links in a different colour as the yellow and the highlighter is hard to read:)
